Jacob D. Vines, 22, was indicted on a charge of aggravated child abuse. He is scheduled to answer the charge during the next session of Criminal Court.
Investigator Chris Bowers said in an Elizabethton Police Department news release that the incident occurred on Nov. 4, when Vines’ then 1-month-old daughter was transported to Johnson City Medical Center in what was described a "life-threatening event."

ELIZABETHTON — The father of an infant who had injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome was arrested Tuesday after being indicted by a Carter County grand jury.
